Negate my last entry.

I remembered I had a login to 192.com from about 15 years ago and it always used to give me free searches. Whilst my login remains valid they have now switched to a fee based search – boo! With that I went looking for who and what else I could use and found 1stLocate.co.uk – whom for a single one off payment of £9.95 allows me to search for a whole 30 days.

Well I don’t need 30 days as I’ve done it all in half a day – but between them, my online BT directory search and free weekend calls I reckon I will hopefully find another 20 or so folks quite easily. Out of all the names I searched the two most problematical will be Michael “Spike” Davis with 100′s of entries and Alonzo Fearnside with zero entries.

This means the cost of letters needed to be sent will be vastly reduced – don’t get me wrong I don’t begrudge this money I just don’t like spending if I don’t have too!

First off – an apology because I haven’t devoted the time to this search that I could have done just recently – but I do have a good excuse. Honest.

The church I go to is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and I’ve been asked to create 6 video and picture montages. Trouble is that none of the pictures are digitised yet and all the video is still on VHS. Anybody who knows about video editing knows that it takes time anyway – but to have to start from scratch … well, it takes time and lots of it. Oh and the deadline for all this is April.

And why stuck? Well one guess. I’ve come to the end of my search abilities – so anybody out there reading this please go through my last post with all the names and see where you can add information or even add location details. My intention is that come April / May is to knock up a form letter which the school will send out to the last known address of those I haven’t been able to track down …. the way I see it I’m hoping this will come down to 30 or less letters and thus I only need to cover the postage of 30 x 2nd class stamps.

So come on folks – start racking those grey cells and help me out.
