Not sure what to do about this one ……

Have had contact via the Alumni site from a Richard Knowles. Now before you all jump up and say who let me quickly add that he’s not of our year. He’s from the year below and is thinking of embarking on the reunion trail.

Anyway he’s after ideas for how to go about his task as well as suggesting we possibly do a joint reunion. At this stage I’m ambivalent about the idea but one thought that might negate it is how much contact did our year have with the one below us? For my part it was minimal and I don’t even recall any of them being in any of our rugby, swimming or cricket teams. I know some of our year went upwards in sporting terms but younger years joining us I don’t recal or is that just my fading memory?

Anyway, the ideas there and the additional plea was that if any of you have any contacts with his year then please pass them along. I’m happy to be a go between or will pass along Richard’s contact instead….

In an effort to keep some form of motion to this project I am going to try and update this blog at least once a month.

To that end this month is simply to say that there is nothing to add. I’ve been busy creating montages for my church’s 25th anniversary which is due the first bank holiday of May. To add to that we (the good lady and I) have been trying to organise our teenager with his application to university. On top of that he’s come down with glandular fever and on top of that he managed to also get tonsilitis at the same time and his A’s are just weeks away!

We can forsee that he just may have to resit this year.

So, as I was saying. There are no new additions to the fold since I had contact with Rene. What I do need is offers to help, offers of folks willing to search their knowledge banks or have better search skills than I.

Richard Thompson tells me in a rare eMail that: “Apparently Anthony Manfredi is quite contactable as he is living in sheffield
Dilly Fisher and Fazakely and mounterfirth are quite easy to get hold of” but nothing more than that. No details, nothing. All that said, once May is out of the way I should be able to get back into this with greater gusto and am still looking at June / July for a decision on the viability of going for a reunion.

So, the plea is, once again, HELP!
