I feel certain, at some stage, that other members of the year will want me to share the information I have tracked down. Now I understand privacy and people wanting to stay out of the light (so to speak) and whilst it doesn’t apply to this situation, I am working under the assumption that the DPA does apply.
I intend to be very careful with any details you folks share with me. In fact, I can guarantee that you won’t be hearing stories like the scandal of losing child benefit details… and furthermore only I have access to all the information gathered this far.
Let me be very clear about this – I will not share your information with anybody you do not want me to share it with.
As part of the process of tracking you folks down I’ve been trying to remember to ask if you are happy for me to share the information. If I’ve forgotten to ask then please do let me know your preference.
I thank you.

Today, I am very happy to say, saw a response from someone I was dreading trying to find. Only because their name is not as individual as some of us have :) Anyway, without further ado I give you:

I’ve become semi re-energised about this process having had three positive responses within the space of a week or so. I also have some more calls to make which will hopefully produce more success. So without further ado, the latest to add to the found list is:
As from this point on I’ll simply edit the found and NOT found lists to indicate the changes rather than create new posts each time. I shall also, to make life easier, place permanent links in the sidebar.

OK, so as promised the other day – here is my list of those I haven’t found including some I know about but haven’t yet contacted. Anything I do know I’ve added as a comment after the name. So those without any comments are the most important to try and track down.
- Marcus Burrows
- Jonathan Collingwood
- Inigo de Alvear – I guess back in Spain
- Paul Doherty
- Michael Doyle
- Nicholas Edward – Alumni registered but no response.
- Philip Embley - his wife has been in touch. April 09
- Patrick Farrell
- Alonzo Fearnside – Message left with his mum ….
- Julian Fisher – Thommo also in touch with
- Richard Ganley
- David Illingworth
- Paul Jervis
- Iain Knox – psychiatric nurse in Devon / Cornwall I believe
- James Lauderdale
- Andrew Lea
- Ricardo Matesantz -in Columbia email sent via FriendsReunited
- Paul O’Brien – one eMail response in 2002 and nothing since
- Kevin O’Hara
- Paul Openshaw
- Andrew Ransom – In Spain – in touch with his brother
- Ronald Sam
- Sundeep Singh-Bal – still in Sheffield I’m told
- Humphrey Uddoh – Andrew Amu may have details of his parents. He used to be in touch until 2yrs or so ago.
- Mark Young
And that, as they say, is that.
What I really need is a confirmed home address and phone number (or mobile) so that should their eMail stop working I can always re-contact them. So get itching, get scratching and dredge those memories as decision time is looming.

Something Bruno said in an eMail made me think that I ought to put up a comprehensive list of those I’ve found so far and then I’ll re-do the not found list later and maybe later in the year do an all in one alphabetical listing … anyway, here’s the list of those found thus far and the extent of my contact with each.
- Andrew Amu – have contact details
- Rene Bohan – have contact details
- Andrew Bulpin – have contact details
- Paul Burke – have contact details
- Marcus Burrows – have mobile number as of 19/10/2009
- Mark Carnell – deceased
- Andrew Curley – have contact details, but replies are sporadic
- Michael Davis – have contact details
- Julian Dilley – have contact details
- Adam Doherty – have contact details
- Stuart Dyckhoff
- Philip Embley – in touch via his wife
- Adrian Fazakerley – have contact details
- Joseph Fee – have contact details
- Francis Harriman – have contact details
- Aidan Harvey – have contact details
- Paul Jervis – have contact details
- Paul Kidman – have contact details
- Michael Lam – have contact details
- Stephen Lau – have contact details
- Anthony Manfredi - Carlo has details 18/7/2008
- Carlo Manfredi – have contact details
- John McCafferty – have contact details
- Bob McClure – have contact details
- Richard Melia – have contact details
- Paul O’Brien – have email address but no recent contact
- John Pullicino – have contact details
- Dermot Quinn – have contact details
- Ricardo Matesantz – in contact via FR
- Steve Sergeant – have contact details
- Bruno Smith – have contact details
- Dominic Stead – no details yet but touched base via Facebook 12/9/2008
- Matthew Taylor – does not wish to be contacted as of 16/09/2008
- Richard Thompson – have contact details
- Joanne Thorpe – my sister in law, have full contact details
- William (Bill) Thornton – have contact details
So that’s 16 17 18 21 22 24 25 26 27 29 31 35 36 out of 56 which is very poor in retrospect getting better and better. And now stands at a fraction over 28% 30% 32% 37% 39% 42% 48% 50% 51½% 55% 57% 64.2%of the year. However I do have leads to a few others, it is just a matter of getting some folks to cough up details and these are:
- Andrew Ransom – his brother has given me a number in Spain, phoned but no answer.
- Julian Fisher – Thommo has info I believe
- Iain Knox – doesn’t respond to his eMail address but believed to be in Devon/Cornwall region
- Anthony Manfredi – still living in Sheffield, Carlo has details.
- Humphrey Uddoh – possibility of tracking him down via Andrew Amu
- Warren Mounterfirth (sp?) – I don’t have him on my list but am assured he was in our year. AdrianF has details or can track them down.
And that is it ….. and if we can find all these then it brings the percentage to 48% just over 55% 57% 60% 62½% 64% 66% 67% 73% which is a much better position from which to make a decision. 64%If we include Mark Carnell and myself, then that brings the %age up to 53½% just over 55%.
Folks, please scour your memories for any little tidbits that might help and then let me know.
