The school have today sent me an invitation – which is open to all OM’s – to the upcoming Mount Association AGM and Reunion Dinner.

The new heads message is as follows:

    Dear Member

Over the past year Helen and I have been bowled over by the reception and warmth of welcome that we have received from all at the Mount, and in particular from the Mount Association.  I have had the pleasure and privilege of meeting a number of OMs this year both at the College and elsewhere.  The thing that marks them all out is their fondness for the friends that they made, the spirit that the College helped instil in them and their thirst to know what is going on at present and who is still there that they remember.

As we approach the occasion of the annual reunion dinner I am hopeful that as many OMs that are able to can attend and spend the weekend in fond reminiscences of times past and present, renew acquaintances and make new ones.  I know that there will be much to be discussed both over dinner and at the AGM and am delighted that the Association now has a permanent home in the heart of the college, next to the Memorial Chapel and along the Long Gallery.

I am sure that it will be a tremendous occasion and hope that you can be there.

    With every best wish

    Laurence McKell
    Headmaster

Should any wish to go, the fuller details and the booking form can be found by clicking HERE. Please note this is a PDF file and an appropriate reader will be needed to view it.

For what it’s worth I won’t be attending as I’d have just come back from a training course and it’s a little short notice to travel North for one night!

Courtesy of Bob McClure there are now some extra pictures for your viewing pleasure.

I’ve also taken this opportunity to sort how they are displayed and now when you click on the pictures tab you get a large thumbnail view of all the pictures. Should you want to see a larger version then just click on the photo and it’ll open a larger version.

As ever, if any of you know the missing names or spot an error of mine then please let me know.

Today sees a confirmation of a contact and although I had him on the not found list I somehow managed to have him on the found list as well! So the %ages don’t change, but welcome back to the fold:

Well, erm, I’ve had another success, though I’m not sure success is the right word.

Last night I had an email asking me to cease and desist from my attempts to contact this person. As he has requested so I will do …  so whilst the percentages go up and one more drops off the not found list, in reality we are no further along.

Anyway, the person I refer to is: Matthew Taylor.

I did take the opportunity to explain just why I was trying to contact him and to point him at this blog – but I shall not be sharing his detail and I shall not be considering him a part of this unless he requests a change.

Apologies for my silence but I’ve been on leave and really busy helping organise my teenager to disappear off to university this Saturday … anyway, I do have one more success to report on and that is:
