I continue to be amazed by the folks that turn up.

I have just finished replying to:

    • Nick Edward

… with the date of the eMail he was replying too was dated May 2008 – so either he doesn’t check his emails that often or he’s a bit of a horder like me.

Anyway, Nick is as I’d heard, living and working Bristol though not as a lawyer but as owner of his own company installing aerials and satellites (amongst other stuff). So, there we have it. Some 31 years since I left MSM and this year has been one of the saddest and joyous in a long time.

Sad that we have all lost a friend – a comrade in arms – a fellow trouble maker – a fellow cheeky chappie.

Joyous that after years of wondering I wasn’t let down by catching up with 6 of my ex school chums – brief though that was.

After months of asking Andrew Amu for his cousin’s contact details I finally found

    • Humphrey Uddoh

without even trying. It would appear that he’s now on facebook and the suggest a friend feature threw him up one day.

So, another find for the list – not that I’m counting any more.

Not sure about this one until it gets clarified but had an automated eMail yesterday from Friends Reunited telling me that “Jim Bird” had sent me a message. Being only too aware of some current scams doing the rounds on social networks I proceeded with caution …

Anyway, was surprised to see this:

    Hi Stuart
You r doing a good job amigo.Whan you round up all the Syntax 80 or as many as you can I invite you all over to my villa near Medellin in Colombia for a big long party .OK?
    Ricardo
Hey dont worry about tickets and all that I will take good care of everything.

So, until Jim / Ricardo responds I remain sceptical and why use a pseudonym when you’ve already registered on FR under your real name?

As I said in my last note, I’m not giving up on this – at least not yet and so I can bring you another person found from the old days … and as my children continue to remind me, the very old days! Anyway, I bring you:

    • John McCafferty

And he tells me he’s now Head of Maths at another private educational establishment. One we had matches against back in the days!
