Look – twice in one day …

I’ve just had it confirmed that the Annual OM Reunion Dinner will be taking place October 23rd 2010 – so contrary to other years it’s the start of the half term week.

I’m making my plans to be there and would love to see as many of you as possible.

From an eMail I’ve just received … if anybody wants Robert’s phone numbers then please just eMail me.

There will be an informal gathering of members of the Association on 7th-8th December, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The President, Dan Westmoreland (OM’69), and the officers want to encourage all interested in joining us (non-members, family and friends). Please feel free to attend any or all of the events over the weekend.

Fr Michael Beattie SJ (OM’46) will celebrate an anticipated mass of the Immaculate Conception at 7.00pm on Friday 7th December in the Sodality Chapel. This will be followed by coffee in the Jesuit Library and at 8.00pm some of us will go out for a meal, probably at the Mulan Chinese Restaurant in Renishaw. Some are staying overnight at the Ibis Hotel in Barlborough or Sitwell Hotel. The Headmaster, Laurence McKell, has invited us to watch the 1st XV play St Peter’s, York at the college on Saturday and will meet us for a light lunch beforehand. This is an ideal  opportunity for us all to see the new sports facilities – including the bar! Fr Michael will say a mass on Saturday (the time will be decided later).

Please forward this to your friends who may be interested in joining you and let me know if you are able to join us. I apologise in advance if you are receiving duplicate emails but I am anxious to get in touch with as many as possible. Final arrangements will be available on the website www.mountassociation.co.uk and I will email all those who have been in touch.

If you have not seen it already the latest issue of the Mount Association Newsletter is now available for download or viewing on the website. Or pick up a hard copy at the weekend.

    Hope to see you

    Robert
